C likes to make phones out of any rectangular object. Likewise with anything resembling a remote control. When on the phone, she likes to call Tiger, Kipper’s friend. The other day, I caught her scratching the inside of a greeting card turned horizontally, with the cover of the card sitting up. “I’m using computer,” she told me, and then went back to work typing something very important. Digital babies, ours are.

It’s wild. As you can see, writing time is diminished. I had to dig out my slow old laptop so I could get some computer time in the same room with him.
